About me

I’m now a sixth-year PhD candidate at the UC Berkeley IEOR department. I major in operations research with minors in machine learning and economics. I’m interested in both machine learning and human learning. I’m honored to be advised by Prof. Zuo-Jun (Max) Shen and Prof. Park Sinchaisri. I’m also fortunate to have Prof. Zeyu Zheng as my thesis committee members. Before my PhD, I received my bachelor degree in computer science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.

Current Research Interests

  1. Developing data-driven learning algorithms for dynamic decision-making problems in operations;
  2. Leveraging large datasets to understand human user behaviors especially on on-demand platforms;
  3. Aligning machine learning algorithms with human behaviors to improve performance and welfare.
