About me
I am now a sixth-year PhD candidate at the UC Berkeley IEOR department. I major in operations research with minors in machine learning and economics. I’m interested in both machine learning and human learning. I’m honored to be advised by Prof. Zuo-Jun (Max) Shen and Prof. Park Sinchaisri. I’m also fortunate to have Prof. Zeyu Zheng as my thesis committee members. Before my PhD, I received my bachelor degree in computer science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.
I am the co-founder of Sun Never Set Developer Studio, a startup dedicated to empowering college students to develop innovative software solutions for academic institutions. Our project received funding from the Galaxy World CUHKSZ Innovation Center and was honored with the ‘Digital Star’ award by Tencent.
Current Research Interests
- Developing data-driven learning algorithms for dynamic decision-making problems in operations;
- Leveraging large datasets to understand human user behaviors especially on on-demand platforms;
- Aligning machine learning algorithms with human behaviors to improve performance and welfare.
